Ig Certified Nurse Recertification Application Step 1 of 3 33% IgCN® Recertification by Education RequirementsEnsure to maintain your prestigious IgCN® credentials by earning and documenting your recertification units (RU)! You will be required to submit proof of recertification units electronically prior to your IgCN® expiration date. Recertification Eligibility Requirements All recertification applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements: A current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States or Canada. A minimum of 1,000 hours of experience in infusion therapy as an RN within the past two years. 1,000 hours of direct clinical bedside experience is not required. Nursing experience may be in the areas of nursing education, administration, research, or clinical practice within the Ig therapy specialty. IgCN Recertification by Continuing Education: Earn 40 RUs in a 3-year period 20 recertification units from each attended IgNS National Conference Up to 20 recertification units via any of the following options Publish a manuscript on Ig therapy in a peer-reviewed journal (5 units) Present as a speaker at an IgNS National Conference (2 units) Complete Continuing Educational courses from the IgNS online Educational Resources Center (1 unit per CE hour) Teach Ig therapy-related education programs (1 unit per CE hour) Publish a chapter or edit an Ig-related book (6 units) Attend CE-accredited, non-IgNS educational conference (up to 5 units; must be approved by IgNS) I understand the requirements for recertification by educational credits.
