Joining a committee is an incredible way to connect with other members, collaborate with peers, and develop programs and initiatives that advance the practice of Ig Therapy.
IgNS is looking for volunteers for each of the following committees:
- IgNS Educational Development Committee
- Ig Certified Nurse Committee
- Ig Certified Pharmacist Committee
- Industry Advisory Committee
- Ig Therapy Standards Committee
By applying for a committee position, you are confirming that you are willing and able to meet the responsibilities assigned to you, and that you will honor the commitment of being an active and contributing committee member.
IgNS Committee Member Eligibility Requirements
As an IgNS Committee Member, you are expected to be an active and regular participant in all committee activities. Committee members will be granted a one- year term with the option to renew for one additional year.
Nurses: must be a current IgCN®
Pharmacists: must be IgCP® eligible with a commitment to certify within 12 months
Physicians: Any specialty with Ig therapy expertise
Committee Member Roles and Responsibilities:
- Attendance at a minimum of 75% of scheduled calls/meetings
- Be prepared to share your assigned work with committee members
- Maintain confidentiality regarding IgNS Committee matters
- Complete all assignments within the time frame established by the committee
- Failure to meet your committee responsibilities may result in your removal from the committee.
Committee Descriptions
IgNS Educational Development Committee
The IgNS Educational Development Committee develops, implements, and coordinates IgNS™ education activities. These activities include IgNS National Conference programming, webinars, CE programs, and other educational initiatives. Members of the IgNS Educational Development Committee are precluded from simultaneously serving on a certification committee, to comply with certification guidelines.
Ig Certified Nurse Committee
The Ig Certified Nurse Committee assures the quality and integrity of the IgCN® program by developing and establishing program policies, regulations, examination updates, examination materials, and other pertinent activities. Members of the IgCN® committee are precluded from simultaneously serving on an education-focused committee at IgNS, to comply with nursing certification guidelines.
The Ig Certified Pharmacist Committee assures the quality and integrity of the IgCP® program by developing and establishing program policies, regulations, and examination materials. Members of the IgCP® committee are precluded from simultaneously serving on an education-focused committee at IgNS, to comply with pharmacy certification guidelines.
The Industry Advisory Committee consists of industry members committed to collaboration and coordination of resources to advance the practice of the Ig Clinician.
Ig Therapy Standards Committee
The Ig Therapy Standards Committee develops performance standards, best practices, and benchmarks through data collection and development of industry-specific tools and resources.
